Collaboration with NHS and Local Authority Commissioning Bodies

Zetetick Housing establishes collaborative partnerships with the CCG Commissioner (NHS Clinical Commissioning Group) and/or the Local Authority Commissioners to facilitate the initiation of new tenancies. By fostering a relationship based on trust and a shared vision, Zetetick works closely with these Commissioning bodies to gain a comprehensive understanding of the needs of individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism within their respective areas. This collaboration enables us to effectively address the housing requirements and contribute to the creation of suitable homes for those who require them the most.

Engagement with Social Workers and Local Authority

In addition to our partnership with Commissioning bodies, we prioritise establishing strong connections with Social Workers and other relevant personnel within the Local Authority who are responsible for delivering support and services to individuals with learning disabilities.

Our relationships are crucial as these professionals possess invaluable insights into the individuals’ unique circumstances and can accurately assess their care needs, including the required amount of support. Moreover, these connections prove vital in situations where individuals lack capacity and do not have a deputy. In such cases, decisions are made on behalf of the individual through Best Interest meetings and applications to the Court Of Protection.

Partnerships with Support Providers

Zetetick Housing also collaborates with exceptional Support Providers to ensure the well-being of our tenants. We have our own framework and our board expects us to put care partners through rigorous due diligence.

Recognising that each tenant has specific and individual needs, we understand that some tenants require constant support within their homes. As the caretakers of the properties in which Support teams operate, it is essential for us to work in partnership with these providers to ensure that the homes are well-maintained, creating an environment where tenants can live happily while receiving excellent care

Transparent Cooperation with the Learning Disabilities and Housing Benefits Teams

Maintaining an honest and transparent partnership with the Housing Benefits team is a key aspect of a successful tenancy.

As a charity, that provides much more than minimal 24/7 support from maintenance to easy read documents; all our tenants are eligible for Exempt rate status, and it is Zetetick’s responsibility to submit the necessary claims. To ensure smooth operations and alignment of all parties involved, we actively discuss with the relevant Housing Benefit team before initiating new tenancies.

This proactive approach helps to foster effective collaboration and streamline the process for the benefit of all stakeholders.
