Zetetick Housing have recently opened a new office in Lewes, the county town of East Sussex, to serve its housing for supported living in Sussex and the Southern Counties. Zetetick Housing provides houses for supported living, working with private landlords, letting agents and local authorities to house people with learning difficulties, associated disabilities, autism and mental health issues.

A unique model of living, for people with learning difficulties

Thanks in part to the support we’ve received so far from our fundraising drive, we now have an office that we can use as a base to work from in order to reach even more people who need supported living in Sussex. As ridiculous as it sounds, having more chairs helps Zetetick Housing to support tenants and source housing!

We know that the work we do is important, but we also understand that supported living in Sussex isn’t a common topic of conversation, even if you live locally. Put simply, Zetetick’s model of supported living enables some of the most vulnerable people in our society – people with special needs, learning difficulties or autism – to live happy and independent lives in homes that suit their needs, while being able to access the support they need.

We work with groups such as lettings agents and local authorities in order to secure the highest quality properties from the private rental market, whilst ensuring that we maintain a person-focused approach in order to best support our tenants’ needs. Being able to look after our tenants is vitally important, which is why we take responsibility for all things housing-related. This includes paying the rent, covering the cost of utilities and having our maintenance team sort out any repairs needed.

Therefore, Zetetick Housing provides quality housing for supported living in Sussex with minimal fuss, allowing our partners to focus on what they do best, whether that is property, lettings or commissioning care and support.
