At Zetetick Housing, we recently said goodbye to someone very special: our very first tenant. Her memory continues to shine brightly in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She was the kind of person who lit up every room she walked into. With a deep love for tattoos, Bob Marley, and an infectious sense of humour with a wonderful way to make you laugh whenever the team saw her; she truly was one of a kind. Being in her company was always a joy; her presence brought warmth, humour, and a glow of something unique, leaving a lasting impression on all of us.
Those who knew her best would say she “shone up the room”, and they would be absolutely right. Whether through a cheeky joke, a kind word, or just the unmistakable energy she carried with her, she was a wonderful tenant.
In the early days, when one of our care partners ran boat trips for tenants, we had the honour of naming the boat after her. It was a perfect tribute for someone as bubbly as her.
As our first-ever tenant, she helped shape the soul of Zetetick Housing. We are a unique housing charity, and she was a unique person. Her legacy of joy and laughter will be one to live on. She’ll be missed deeply but remembered with nothing but warmth and enduring gratitude.
