Lewes charity announces Hike4Homes fundraising event

Lace up your hiking boots and get ready for an unforgettable adventure on Hike4Homes along the stunning South Downs! Join Lewes Charity Zetetick housing on Saturday 28th June for a day of hiking, fun, and making a difference.

Zetetick Housing is a registered charity based in Lewes, East Sussex that specialises in providing quality homes in London and the Southeast for people with learning disabilities and autism. We change the lives of people in supported care, helping them become safe, happy and healthy at home.

Hike4Homes

Hike4Homes is an inclusive event, all about coming together to support a great cause while enjoying the great outdoors.

We have a choice of distances to choose from (10km – 42km), whether you’re a seasoned hiker or runner or just looking for a new challenge, this event is perfect for you. So, gather your team, friends, family, or furry companions and let’s hit the trails for a day of exploration and giving back.

We will be starting I’m Eastbourne, and finishing in Lewes.

How much is it to register?

30 mile is £20 registration and our 6-7 mile routes is £10 registration

Is there a suggested fundraising target?

Yes, Hike4Homes is a sponsored trek, with all funds going directly to Zetetick Housing Charity.

30 mile we ask you to raise £300

6-7 mile routes we ask you to raise £100

What distances can I choose between?

You can choose between a cool 6-mile and 7-mile tranquil trek or challenge yourself to the epic 26-mile expedition.

Can I reserve a place as an individual or group?

Places are on a first come first serve basis and can be reserved by completing the registration form online. If you would like to reserve a group booking, you can pre-pay for a number of registrations online and invite your team to join you. How old do I have to be?

Entrants must be 14 years and over. Any participant under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian for the duration of the challenge.

How do I know if I have a place?

When you register and pay successfully, you will receive an automatic email from the fundraising team, confirming your registration and starting you off on your fundraising journey.

I have not fundraised before, where do I start?

The team will be here every step of the way to help you with your fundraising.  Talk to us if you are thinking about starting your fundraising, we are here to help!

Fundraising Top Tip: Make the most of the big day. Post on your stories, socials, and family WhatsApp groups, share pictures and updates of just how hard you are working – not forgetting a link to your JustGiving page!

What is Gift Aid and can I Gift Aid my donation?

We would love you to gift aid your donation! You can ask all your sponsors to gift aid their

donation by ticking the box on the sponsorship form or by donating to your JustGiving page, this will help Zetetick raise an extra 25p for every £1 you are sponsored, if they are a UK taxpayer.

How do I pay in my sponsor money?

Whichever way you choose to pay in your sponsorship money, we advise to pop us an email or call on the details below and let us know when, by what method, and how much you plan to donate. This is so helpful and means that we can easily track your donation as it comes to us.
