Job Purpose:
This role supports the delivery of Zetetick’s compliance responsibilities in relation to property standards, health and safety (H&S) checks, and statutory duties. Working closely with housing and maintenance colleagues, the postholder helps to ensure that tenants' homes remain safe and legally compliant, and that required inspections, risk assessments, and records are consistently maintained. The role does not carry organisational H&S leadership responsibility but plays a key part in monitoring, recording, and supporting the charity’s compliance activities in line with its policies, values, and legal obligations.

Key Responsibilities
- To assist in monitoring and maintaining compliance records for Zetetick-managed properties, including fire, gas, electrical and legionella checks, ensuring they are completed and recorded in line with statutory requirements and internal procedures.
- To liaise with care providers, landlords, contractors and internal colleagues to coordinate and follow up on compliance tasks, inspections, and certification, maintaining a clear record of all interactions and outcomes.
- To support the completion of Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), tracking associated remedial actions, and working with the Maintenance and Housing Teams to ensure these are resolved within required timeframes.
- To maintain Zetetick’s compliance database, ensuring it remains up to date with accurate information and serves as a single point of reference for internal and external audit purposes.
- To assist the Property and Housing Teams by reviewing/auditing property inspections and ensuring that compliance-related issues are identified, recorded and escalated appropriately for resolution.
- To support the preparation of properties for sign-ups, voids, or returns to landlords, ensuring all compliance documentation and safety standards are in place.
- To operate in line with the Charity’s policies and procedures, including those relating to Health & Safety, safeguarding, and property management, supporting colleagues in their understanding of compliance responsibilities.
- To work collaboratively across teams to maintain compliance assurance throughout all properties, acting as a point of reference for routine compliance-related queries.
- To liaise with commissioning authorities, local authorities, and other relevant stakeholders on compliance issues where required, contributing to a responsive and transparent approach.
- To support responses to regulatory audits, inspections, and enforcement activity by ensuring relevant documentation is accessible, complete and submitted in a timely manner.
- To contribute to the continuous improvement of compliance systems and procedures, identifying and recommending changes that enhance safety and accountability across the organisation.
- To assist in the development and delivery of awareness materials, guides or training for staff and care providers to ensure consistent understanding of compliance requirements and safe practice.

- To input and maintain accurate data on compliance tracking systems, ensuring up-to-date records relating to property certifications, inspection schedules, remedial actions and related communications.
- To undertake any reasonable task as designated by your line manager that your skills and experience would indicate competency to complete.
- To carry out all responsibilities in a way that reflects Zetetick’s BEDROCK values and contributes positively to the culture, integrity and mission of the organisation.
