Charity Head of finance – your chance to make a difference

Zetetick Housing (ZHC) is seeking a highly experienced Charity Head of Finance to provide consistent, robust and expert financial advice to the Chief Executive Officer in addition to other senior stakeholders in the Charity. Starting at 3 days a week with the move to more as we expand. Home based, with the finance offices in St Leonards, East Sussex and offices in Lewes and the London Borough of Croydon.

A registered charity, ZHC is a specialised housing provider. Sourcing and providing high quality domestic residential accommodation for people needing support and who primarily have, but not exclusively, a learning disability. We are an exempt accommodation provider under the ‘specified accommodation’ clause within the housing Regulation.

We currently employ 13 staff, 3 Volunteers (and expanding) look after 88 properties and 161 tenants with a turnover circa of £4 million

Our Board at ZHC has set an ambitious growth strategy of doubling in size over the next 5-7 years and the successful Charity Head of Finance will play a pivotal role in helping the Charity achieve this goal.

Responsibilities

The Charity Head of finance is a new and exciting role to join our Housing Charity, the Charity Head of Finance (HoF) will report to the CEO and be responsible for the overall direction and coordination of the financial and specified business activities of the Charity.
You will be expected to take on executive functions and provide operational line management to the finance team. Working closely with the finance team, the HoF will be accountable for all aspects of financial accounting and transactional finance for the Charity, ensuring all systems are updated and reporting is timely and in line with all annual financial returns.

Accountancy Qualification ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
